The Purpose

The best stories are told from the soul, right? Colored Girl Chronicles are journaled entries from real women that went through real-life situations, some true and others fictionalized. As the Author, Jenise Wilson, it was my privilege to gather stories and personal expressions from all types of women, ranging from different ages and experiences. Each story was picked to inspire and to push the realization that we all go through things to grow for the sake of change.

Colored Girl Chronicles is more than a book. It is the art of connecting with a black woman. These are stories of situations women went through, yet had the courage to discuss, until now.

Meet The Author

Jenise S. Wilson

Jenise Wilson is from Newport News, Virginia. She has always had a passion for urban fictional story-telling, so she decided to leave home to further her dreams.

She moved to Lynchburg, Virginia in 2011 where she attended a small HBCU, Virginia University of Lynchburg. Spring of 2014 she accepted her Associates Degree in liberal Arts. Later, Fall of 2014, she transferred to Liberty University where she majored in Cinematic Arts and graduated in Spring of 2017.

She is victorious and highly dedicated to the intentions of her writings. She continues to pursue and excel in all of her endeavors.
